The country's oldest operating aquarium gives visitors the chance to see giant turtles and sharks from above or below in the glass-bottomed boat and underwater tunnel


The Duke of Yorks Picturehouse

Famous for the stripy legs on the roof, this is the country's oldest continuously operating cinema. Enjoy comfy seats, or even a sofa, as well as a slice of homemade cake and a drink. Dukes at Komedia is the cinemas sister venue.

Volks Railway

This Electric railway has been taking visitors along the seafront for 130 years. Hop on at the Brighton Pier and hop off at the Black Rock station by Brighton Marina.


Brighton Marina

With its collection of chain restaurants, a cinema, bowling alley, casino and superstore. On a summers day its a pleasant place to wander.

Tucked between the Pavilion and the seafront, just to the west of the Old Steine thoroughfare, is a warren of narrow pedestrianised alleyways. The core of the old fishing village from which Brighton has evolved. Its a great place to wander, and get lost. with some excellent cafes and restaurants, and plenty of jewellers and designer boutiques.
